6th September 2012
Windsurfing: Felixstowe dip
Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength: F4
Surf / Sea State: Moderate
Air Temperature: 20 C
Sea Temperature: OK
Weather: sunny
Max Speed: 20+ (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 1 hour (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Went to the Dip to continue practicing flying my bullet kite. Dave Coles was rigging 11M / Formula and the wind was easy F4. Shot back to Ipswich for the trailer so lost an hour. Dave was flying so plugged H2 8.7 / RRD fireride. Hitting the water I realised quickly I should have rigged 7.5 as I was way over initially. Added an 1" downhaul sorted it and had a great session with Dave. Stayed out the hour as wasn't sure if the sea breeze would stay. Bid swells were on the inside but out to sea, it was much flatter, so only dropped 4 gybes. Chased Dave around for a while, not catching him, so took off to the Fludg as 2 were out there, but on reaching the point I went way overpowered and the sea was too rough, so turned back.
Big broad reaches back, but what a bummer I forgot the GPS, but def' was running mid 20kt's.
Best evening sail this year :)
Dave came off the water just after 6.30, as he had an appt't, so for once followed him, and was lucky as the wind drop within 10 mins. Great evening finished off with a steam / Saun :)
